Timothy J. Babish, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with an illustrious career spanning 48 years in the Medical Industry. With a diverse educational background and extensive experience across various domains, Tim has made significant contributions to the fields of physiology, surgery, and medical device development.

Tim embarked on his academic journey at the prestigious University of Southern California, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Med. Driven by a passion for understanding the intricacies of biological systems, he pursued further studies and earned a Master of Science in Biophysics, followed by a Ph.D. in Physics, solidifying his foundation in both life sciences and physics.

Throughout his career, Tim has held several key positions, showcasing his expertise and leadership abilities. Notably, he served as the Department Head of the Cardio-Pulmonary Physiology Lab at UC Irvine, where he spearheaded groundbreaking research initiatives aimed at advancing our understanding of cardiac and respiratory functions.

Tim's interests in medicine and product development led him to pursue a Ph.D. from Colombia in organizational leadership.

Tim's journey in the industry led to pivotal roles in renowned companies, where he played instrumental roles in shaping medical technologies and practices.

As the Clinical Head of Tissue Labs at United States Surgical, he contributed to the development of innovative surgical techniques and materials. His tenure at Puritan Bennett Corporation saw him leading sales training and driving the development of life support systems fluidics, further demonstrating his multifaceted skill set.

With a commitment to excellence in ophthalmic surgery and care, Tim transitioned to roles focused on eye health.

At Alcon Surgical, Inc., he served as a National Consultant, specializing in surgical retina procedures, before retiring and joining OCULUS Surgical, Inc. There, he provided expertise in sales and clinical training for retina and glaucoma surgery while actively participating in research and development endeavors.

In his pursuit of advancing eye care technologies, Tim is charged with the role of educational management of distributorships and contributing to R&D efforts and developing procedures with advanced, simulated BIONIKO eye models for training and educational purposes.

Driven by a passion for human development and effective communication, Tim became a Certified Practitioner of Wiley's Everything DiSC©, leveraging his expertise to facilitate personal and professional growth in individuals and organizations.
